  • How do citizenM gift vouchers work?

    First, go to and pick an amount – €50, €75, €100. After payment, you will instantly receive the gift voucher by email. Don't delete it – it has a unique personal code you'll need for redemption.

    The gift voucher can only be redeemed against an existing reservation that has not yet been paid for. If you don't have a reservation yet, make it anytime (your gift voucher is valid for one year), but don't pre-pay! Once you have a reservation confirmation number, redeem your gift voucher via this link. Please make sure your redemption email address matches the booking email address. The gift voucher amount will be deducted from your balance to be paid. We'll send you a confirmation email as soon as you redeem!

  • Can I buy the citizenM gift voucher for someone else?

    Absolutely! Buy a gift voucher in your preferred amount, then forward the confirmation email to the lucky recipient. The email has a unique code needed to redeem the gift voucher.


  • How long is my gift voucher valid?

    Your gift voucher is valid for one year from the date of purchase.


  • Can I use my gift voucher at any citizenM hotel?

    Yes, your gift voucher can be used at any citizenM hotel worldwide.


  • Do I have to redeem the whole amount of my gift voucher at once?

    Yes, the gift voucher has to be redeemed as a whole. It cannot be redeemed in part.


  • What happens if the value of gift voucher is higher than the value of my booking?

    The outstanding amount will show as a credit in your booking. You can use this credit to pay for drinks, food and gift shop items. Any leftover balance will not be refunded or converted to cash at the end of your stay – so make sure to spend it all (may we recommend our cocktail menu or some travel books?).


  • What can a citizenM gift voucher be used for?

    The gift voucher can only be redeemed against the price of an existing reservation. Any leftover amount can be used to pay for food, drinks and gift shop items at the hotel.


  • Can I use two (or more) gift voucher against one booking?

    Yes, you can redeem another voucher against the same reservation number.


  • Can I use one gift voucher towards two different bookings?

    No, we keep things simple – one voucher can be redeemed towards one booking only.


  • Is the gift voucher available in different currencies?

    Currently the gift voucher is available in EUR only, but it can be redeemed for all respective currencies of our locations. We will convert the currency using the rate available on redemption day.


  • How do I receive my gift voucher?

    It will be sent to the email address you provide, immediately after you complete the purchase.


  • I purchased a gift voucher, but I didn't receive an email.

  • Can I redeem the gift voucher towards a booking made through other travel websites (like, Expedia, etc) or a travel agent?

    No, the gift vouchers can only be redeemed against bookings made directly through


  • Can I redeem the gift voucher against a meeting room (societyM) booking, or a group booking?

    No, the gift vouchers are intended as a personal treat, so they can only be redeemed towards individual room reservations. Sorry, no group or meeting room bookings.


  • What if I need to cancel my booking after I redeem my gift voucher?

    Cancellations with redeemed gift vouchers work the same way as all other cancellations. If you booked a non-refundable rate, the gift voucher is also non-refundable. If you booked our refundable (flex) rate and fulfill its refund conditions, the gift voucher is also refundable. You will receive a new voucher by email. We recommend always using the gift voucher with our refundable rate.
